So today in technology the kids learned how to create their own blogs. They have made their own blogs with a classroom email. They are able and allowed to edit their own blogs from home if they want. There are a few rules.
Safety 1st:
The blogs have been set so that no one can view the blog unless they are signed up with our email and password. No one else can view the blogs through any other means.
1. Don't click on "next blog"
2. Don't edit someone else's blog
3. Keep your blog school appropriate (so don't allow random youtube videos or inappropriate music)
The possibilities are endless. Parents please monitor your child's use of the blog though.
How to sign in:
username: forestridgec6.2@gmail.com
Your children should know the password to get onto their blog by now.
I recommend downloading "Google Chrome". There is a much friendlier way of using blogger than using internet explorer. In fact most of my internet usage is through Chrome not Explorer.
Happy Blogging!

Math Focus, Science, $$$, birthdays
Hello again,
Math Focus: This week we're working on estimating division quotients (answers).
Science:
For the last two weeks before winter break students are developing science investigations that they will test in school. My investigation will be to answer this question: Which ball will bounce higher: basketball, soccer ball, tennis ball, racket ball? The investigation has two parameters: 1) the materials need to be easily available to you and 2) it has to be doable in the classroom (or outside the classroom). Kids can work in partners and can start bringing in materials tomorrow.
$$$
I still need 5$ for the holiday crafts from each student. Right now I have about $30 brought in so far. Thank you for those who brought them in.
Birthdays:
We never did our November birthday bash. Maybe we could combine Nov and Dec birthdays for a big holiday bash... Thoughts? Please "comment:" or email.
Happy Winter!
